I am a story-catcher.
After teaching memoir for decades I wanted to provide a place for others to read about and learn from so many valuable lives.
For the first book in the 100 Years in the Life series, Girlhood in America, I interviewed women and girls from around the country for their stories from life under age thirteen in the 1910s into the 2000s.
Memoir is my passion. I am fortunate to have worked with hundreds of people writing memoir, since 1996. (www.suzannesherman.com). I am an editor and book consultant, a writing coach and book editor. I have presented in webinars, at writer’s conferences, including the California Writer’s Club at the National Steinbeck Center, Story Circle Network, and the National Association of Memoir Writers, and I have been a featured blogger for StoryCircleNetwork.org and WomensMemoirs.com.
